Throughout our own trading journey, we both regularly experienced frustration and confusion as were were often having to redo parts of the process - it was all taking longer than we wanted it to. We eventually realised that we had unrealistic expectations on what it actually takes to become a professional trader and what it would involve. Once we became clear of what it would involve, and the steps we needed to take to get there, we could match our intention to our actions and begin to move forward with direction and confidence.

 

At the root of this shift was creating a way to organise the trading journey so that we had a clear indication of exactly what we needed to do to get us from where we were to what we wanted to be. This led us to create a process that would offer objective ways to measure progress, and break the journey down into stages, so that we could move from a results driven to a process driven mindset. Focusing less on the urge to get to live trading, and focusing more on mastering the stage we are at to then confidently move into the next. We then noticed at the latter stages of the journey that we needed to innovate for ourselves to create ways to navigate those parts of the process. This led to the creation of our backtesting spreadsheet and journal. From this other ideas emerged in addition.

Alongside this, the two of us built an incredible friendship by supporting eachother in our trading and we also began to practice self-development, particularly Dr Joe Dispenza's work, alongside it. We decided that want to expand this to carry that energy into generating a community of those who are aligned: driven to be better humans whilst also on a journey to become professional traders.
